About

Possibilities for Change delivers practical, evidence-based tools and workshops to help professionals and parents effectively identify and reduce youth risks and save lives.

Global Footprint

Thousands of School-Based Health Centers, colleges, providers and professionals around the world are leveraging P4C Youth Risk Screening Tools and Motivational Interviewing Training to improve youth health.

As a Nurse Practitioner and Director of the University of Michigan (UM) School-Based Health Center program, Jennifer Salerno, DNP, CPNP, FAANP, faced the daily challenge of identifying and reducing risky behaviors among the youth she served. So considering nearly 75% of serious injury and adolescent death is a result of preventable, risky behaviors, Jennifer knew something needed to be done. There needed to be a change.

With her team of advisors, interdisciplinary professionals, and most importantly youth, Jennifer developed the RAAPS risk screening tools and methodology for the technology based system, side by side with the MITEY Change motivational interviewing courses to support professionals in their work with youth. From this work Possibilities for Change (P4C) was born as a spin off from UM to provide professionals across the world with the training, tools and technology necessary to identify and reduce youth risks.

The P4C team provides and supports evidence based youth risk screening tools and technology to over 500 agencies across 33 states with thousands of satisfied users. We have over a 95% retention rate for continued use of our products. Over 60,000 youth complete P4C surveys annually and receive follow-up risk reduction coaching via technology. Hundreds of MITEY Change courses and workshops have been delivered across the U.S.
